The AquaBundance Fish Farm is either a 200 or 300 gallon recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) designed by The Aquaponic Source as a turn-key fish farm for small scale aquaculture. The system can also be combined with an optional plant sump and UV sterilizer to turn your RAS into a complete aquaponics system. This is an extremely flexible system which allows you to operate the RAS as a coupled aquaponic system with your plants, or as a standalone decoupled aquaculture system.

• The Endurance 2000 Bead Filter captures solids and allows for high-level nitrification. Use the filter’s sludge discharge as a nutrient amendment for soil crops, mineralization systems, and/or compost tea brewers.
• UV sterilization offers enhanced algae control and biosecurity. The UV upgrade cannot be added later – must be purchased from the start.
• Compatible with various types of hydroponic growing and fertigation systems. Adapts to your own DIY system or pairs with our Growasis, AquaBundance Media Beds, and AutoPot Bucket System
• All pumps, plumbing connections, and hardware are included.

Optional Add Ons

HYDROS Wifi controllers monitor temperature, pH, ORP, and water level and can control pumps, timers, level sensors, and much more. It can be used as a standalone controller or it can be added to other HYDROS Controls to build a more extensive system.

Use any HYDROS device by itself or connect multiple devices as part of a larger automated system with NO single point of communication failure.

The Small Boy Water Filter reduces up to 99% chlorine, sediment, rust, silt, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), mercury, lead, and PCBs (organic chlorine), keeping beneficial bacteria and microorganisms alive and healthy. A float valve can be included for automatic water top offs.

Having the ability to easily see your fish is important for monitoring the health of your fish. Plus, a window makes aquaponics that much more enjoyable when you can watch your fish and they can watch you! The fish tank window is particularly valuable for education and research-based systems.

Providing a consistent water temperature for your fish is critical for their health. The Aquatop Titanium Heaters are compact and durable. Each heater comes with a controller, thermostat and sensor. The unit features a dual display digital controller with audible high/low temp alarm.

Plant Sump Upgrade

The AquaBundance Fish Farm has a modular plumbing design that leaves the door open for a plant system connection. By adding the Plant System upgrade, a second nutrient reservoir sump is added for connection to your own DIY plant system or one of our Growasis Raft Systems, transforming this Recirculating Aquaculture System into a full-production aquaponics system. And because our systems are designed to be decoupled, the Growasis Raft System can be added at the time of install or at a future date.

All water and air pumps, plumbing connections, and instruction manuals are included.

• Independent 55 gallon plant sump includes a 1800 GPH water pump and plumbing feed and drain connections for your own hydroponic plant system.
• External PVC stick pipe for the Plant System Upgrade is not included and must be purchased separately and locally.
• Can operate as a fully coupled or decoupled system.
• “Plug-and-play” with any existing media, NFT or DWC plant system. Supply and return lines are ready to connect. There is no cutting, gluing, or guessing!
• Connects easily with any Growasis Modular DWC System, AquaBundance Media Beds, AutoPot Buckets, or your own DIY plant system.
• Independent fish and plant sumps allow for safe dosing and water quality adjustments for each system without interfering with each other’s water chemistry.

Fish Production Estimates

The max feeding rate capacity of the Endurance 2000 Bead Filter is 1 lb per day (This would require daily sludge draining and would have an estimated TAN of 1 PPM ).
