Flourish Farm Course Modules

This course covers all of the fundamental components that go into aquaponic farms such as fish tanks, filtration systems, aeration, pumps, heaters, plumbing parts and a wide variety of plant growing systems.

Dive in and learn how to properly manage and optimize your farm’s water quality. Learn how to establish and maintain a healthy population of beneficial bacteria that are the engine of a healthy and productive aquaponic system.

Learn how to properly grow and manage greens, herbs, fruiting crops, microgreens and other specialty crops. Optimize your growth and yields, plan your crop rotation and maximize production in your farm.

Site Planning, Greenhouses and Environmental Controls

This course covers a wide variety of considerations for planning and choosing your greenhouse. Learn about different types of greenhouses, materials, configurations and environmental controls.

Even the most well designed and managed farm won’t be successful if no one knows about your product. Developing your marketing plan and knowing your customers before you build your farm will give you a huge head start.

Learn how to develop your personal plan and align it with your business plan. We will look at why other farm businesses have failed, and learn about the eight forms of capital and many ways to measure success.

There is nothing more important than ensuring your product is safe for your customers to eat. This course covers the latest in aquaponic food safety standards, good agricultural practices, HACCP and farm safety.

Your plants are the most valuable commodity in your farm. Poor control of nutrients and environmental conditions can quickly result in crop losses. Learn how to optimize nutrients and implement a pest and disease management plan.

Am I able to sign up for in-person classes?2023-10-12T11:50:54-06:00

Unfortunately, we are not offering in-person classes at this time. Due to forces outside of our control, we had to close down our farm in 2019. We have taken all of our knowledge and course structures from our farm days and put them onto this online course. We still hope to one day resume in-person classes and as soon as we have them available again, we will be sure to post online and on our social media channels.
