Holly, a Denver native, attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and received a Bachelors in Environmental Design. Throughout her studies, she took a great interest in the societal challenges that face our growing urban centers such as conserving water resources, increased pressure on transportation and energy sources, and food production. An internship with the Colorado Center for Community Development gave her a broader perspective in designing for a range of sizes and types of communities and inspired a desire to apply her design skills towards projects in environmental sustainability.
After a year and a half of teaching in Seoul, Holly returned to Denver and began volunteering with Colorado Aquaponics to build the first 3,000sf Flourish Aquaponic Farm at The GrowHaus. Holly has continued on with The Aquaponic Source in a variety of roles: from teaching Aquaponics classes, to farm management, curriculum building, and web design, and international work! She now primarily focuses on creative web and print content, but also – don’t be surprised if she shows up to build your next farm.
